Another fabulous meet is over. I apologize to the multi-event folks. I did not make Friday, so I didn't get any pictures. That means a cry to all of the friends and family who took shots - send them in. It is easy. Just e-mail them to gophertrackshots@hotmail.com. I can post them as you send them or I can edit them for you, if you wish.
I did take a ton of shots on Saturday, so as usual. I only posted my favorites. The events are generally shot in a series of 8 or 10 shots. So, if you want to see more from that series, just let me know. It is easier for me, if you right click your mouse over the pictures, select properties and send me the number of the picture. It will be TRK_####.jpg. That way I can easily find it and send you the related shots. Note, though, sometimes only one shot turns out in a series because you are moving so fast you move out of focal range.
The results from this meet can be found at: http://www.raceberryjam.com/indexid.html.

It was really cold outside for this meet. I was so pleased to see so many fans there. Good for you for braving that COLD, COLD weather. It was nice and warm in the fieldhouse. I had not expected that and could have done without my long johns!
It was great to see Goldy there for the second week in a row. It must have been a rough year on gophers though. It seems to me that Goldy is about a foot shorter than last year. Or am I the only one who noticed?
I am thrilled to report that some shots were contributed by another fan / parent. There is hope yet to keep this page going, but you folks have to help out here. Keep those pictures coming!

Well the first meet of the season is now history. But, what a great story. Lots of fabulous performances by SOPHOMORES!!! The means an exciting future. Lots of great performances by graduates, even an Olympic contender.
So, not everyone is in maroon and gold for the pictures. I tried to catch the red shirts, but if you see me around please point out folks to me who are not in uniform.
Once again, I got some new equipment. Brand new camera - showed up the day before the meet, so I did not get a chance to practice with it. I can see that I messed up on the focus at times. Sorry. But the good news is it is so fast. It takes great indoor shots and lots of them. In the past I have taken 200 or 300 shots at a meet. Last week I took over 1500!!! So, you can imagine I did not post them all. They are bursts of shots around a race, a jump or a throw. So, I post the one or two that I like best. If you want the whole series, send me an e-mail. Realize that the series early in the day just did not turn out as well, so I may have thrown away a lot of those shots. Just like you get better, I do too. See you on the 19th!
