May 16-18, 2008 - Big Ten Outdoor Meet, University of Illinois
Great, sunny weather. Great track conditions, though a bit windy. Soft field conditions from all the rain. Lots and lots of fans and enthusiasm. Some astounding performances and some disappointments. Everything that goes into a track meet.
These are the best of my Big Ten shots. I was disappointed that I got no really good shots of Ibs winning the 100 meter. Please, if you got any such shots, submit them to me for posting. And, of course, any other contributions from parents, fans, team mates, etc. are always appreciated.

May 9, 2008 - Minnesota Open - Bierman Track, University of Mn
This was a great day. It was the first time in several years that the throwing and running events were held together at the Bierman Track. So, it was still cold, but it was sunny. The fans were there. The concession stand was open. It felt that a real declaration of spring.

May 3, 2008 - Musco Twilight - University of Iowa, Iowa City
MAN, it was cold.... You can tell from the pictures, lots of parkas and stocking hats. But, the really, really good news was that it was SUNNY!!! All week long the forecast was for rain, but we got a break there.
I have to admit that this is really one of my favorite meets. It is well run with great competition. Though I did miss the women throwers, this year. Now, some of you might think that the guy throwers get an awful lot of coverage from this meet. That is very observant of you, they do. One of the reasons that I like this meet is that I can get close enough to get some great shots of the throwers.
As always, send in any shots that you took from the meet, they make the page more fun.
