GOPHER TRACK SHOTS

So, this was my first ever shooting photos for the intrasquad meet.  My son, Peter, probably wonders why I never took any pictures of this event while he was on the team.  Probably because that was before facebook and I didn't know about the event until after it was over.  I was really delighted to have the chance to shoot the meet this year.  First, because I love track and field and the athletes.  Second, because, I always seem to forget how to shoot indoors, so I get this chance to refresh those skills before we get to actual meets.  I found that I really needed the training, too.  I hope the throwers will forgive me.  I tried a different method of focusing the camera based upon some reading I did this summer on shooting action.  I am not sure that it worked on anything, but it really did not work for the throwers.  I was wonderfully in focus on the mesh, but not so great on the action.  I will keep trying to improve my shots, but for now, I think I will stick to the way I shot last year.  That seemed to have worked pretty well.
